Dr. Cheung is a sincere pain physician who understands the suffering of her patients and endeavours to help them understand and alleviate their symptoms as well as improve their quality of life by tailoring an individualised treatment plan. 

Dr. Cheung believes that multidisciplinary team collaboration inspires patients to transform a life of suffering to a life of successfully managing pain. Pain management options may range from lifestyle modifications, allied health strategies, careful use of medications to advanced leading-edge pain intervention technologies like nerve radiofrequency techniques as well as nerve and spinal cord stimulation.  

Dr. Cheung obtained her fellowships in anaesthesiology and pain medicine in a university affiliated tertiary hospital in Hong Kong. She has worked as a specialist pain consultant and head of pain unit for over fifteen years, and over that time has developed extensive expertise in chronic pain, cancer pain and acute pain management. She uses diversified pain intervention modalities.

Dr. Cheung treats all pain syndromes including persistent spinal pain syndrome (PSPS), complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), postherpetic neuralgia, facial pain, chest pain, cancer pain, back pain, neuropathic pain, lumbar radicular pain and sciatica, neck, shoulder and arm pain, facial pains/headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, post-surgical neuropathic pain syndromes like post laminectomy pain, pain after spinal surgery, ilioinguinal pain, thoracic pain. She is particularly enthusiastic about myofascial pain, musculoskeletal and post-traumatic pain syndromes.
