DR ROSHAN THAWALE
MBBS, MD(Anaesthetics), FRCA, FFPMRCA
Dr Thawale completed his degree in Medicine in 2006 (India) and subsequently pursued specialist training in Anaesthetics, earning him MD.
He then emigrated to the United Kingdom, where he further committed to excellence by re-training in Anaesthetics and Pain Medicine. This dedication culminated in obtaining dual specialist fellowships. The first being Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and the second being Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FFPMRCA).
Roshan practiced as a specialist in Pain Medicine at Epsom and St Helier University Hospital Trust in South London and served as a faculty tutor and educator for Pain Medicine, reflecting his commitment to training the next generation of pain specialists.
Roshan believes in a patient centred and patient tailored approach. Roshan was instrumental in developing the complex headache, facial pain and pelvic pain multidisciplinary team approach in the private sector in South London.
Roshan moved to Melbourne with his family and joined Pain Specialists Australia to work full time as Pain Specialist.
His multilingual proficiency (English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and Marathi) enables him to work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Dr Thawale is proficient the assessment and management of many chronic pain conditions. He has expertise in spinal procedures and he has a special interest and expertise in ultrasound-guided pain interventions as well as chronic facial pain like atypical facial pain, trigeminal neuralgia and other complex facial pain conditions which includes migraines and headaches.
